Shabbir Ali, who is on mission to drive out MIM from Old City today asked a straight question. MIM is contesting in just 60 seats. Referring to MIM campaign them that it would grab the Mayor post in GHMC after Feb 2 elections, Shabbir Ali asked, ” How can party which is contesting just 60 in a council of 150 seat lay claim for mayor post.”

Shabbir , who is concentrating in Old City, alleged that MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi was liar. The Congress leader ridiculed MIM campaign that it would win the election and appoint party nominee as the mayor.

“How can a party contesting on just 60 seats make such claim? Even if the party gets 100 out of 100 seats then also its dream will not come true as at least 76 corporators are needed for bagging mayor’s seat,” he said and called upon the people not to go by the misleading campaign of MIM leaders.
Mr. Shabbir appealed the people of Old City to ask only one question that would expose the MIM commitment to the welfare of the Muslim across the state.

“If the leaders of MIM come to them for seeking votes during election campaign, please ask this question: why MIM is not taking any stand with regard to 12 % Muslim reservations while 25000 Muslims will get job opportunities and 25000 Muslim students will get higher education opportunities every year for 12 per reservation?

The opposition leader in the Telangana legislative council dubbed the MIM silence as big dealing and conspiracy. ” The party doesn’t want to raise any questions that embarrass the ruling TRS,” he said.
