New Delhi: In a shocking incident, 21-year-old teacher was stabbed to death by a man in a broad day-light on the busy road of Burari locality in north Delhi on Tuesday morning. Ironically, no person came to her rescue as the accused continued to stab her 22 times with knife.
The whole incident was captured in CCTV camera. Accused was identified as 34-year-old Surender Singh and was arrested by the police.
According to the police, the victim, identified as Karuna, was being harassed by Surender Singh for the past four months. Though a complaint was lodged by the victim, the police could not take any action following a compromise between both of them.
On Tuesday, Surender obstructed her on the way and repeatedly stabbed in front of the passers-by in the locality. Passers-by did not a made an attempt to stop the accused from stabbing her. Some bikers had a close look at the murder as Surender stabbed Karuna indiscriminately.
It is also learnt that Surender Singh was deserted by his wife and a divorce case is being heard in the court.
According to NDTV, a witness, Manish Kumar, took Karuna to hospital in an auto-rickshaw. “I ran and went to help the girl. I called on 100 twice, the police did not come, then I called the ambulance, no one came,” he added.
