Top director Shankar is undoubtedly the most talented South Indian directors and he received tough competition in the form of SS Rajamouli after the release of Baahubali: The Beginning. The movie ended up as the highest grossed South Indian movie after which Rajamouli has been well lauded across the country. Shankar is currently busy with the shoot of Robo 2.0 which is said to be the sequel of Robo and the film features Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson in the lead roles. Bollywood Superstar Akshay Kumar will be seen playing the lead antagonist in the movie.
The movie’s shoot has been kept on hold for over two months as Superstar Rajinikanth wanted a break because of his health issues. It was then rumours started floating that the film’s release has been pushed to Diwali next year and the film will not release as scheduled. However Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Conclusion has been slated for April 28th 2017 release. The latest news is that Shankar too is in plans to wrap up the shoot of Robo 2.0 to the earliest and the release the film for summer. Shankar loves to clash with a challenging director like Rajamouli revealed a source from the unit. Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, Robo 2.0 has been made on a budget of Rs 250 crores and the makers are yet to announce the official release date.
