Young hero Sharwanand, Anupama Parameswaran’s family entertainer Shatamanam Bhavati directed by Satish Vegesna releasing during sankranti is flooring all with rich visuals, family values and emotions despite getting sandwiched between Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s 150th film Khaidi No 150 and Natasimha Balakrishna’s 100th film Gautami Putra Satakarni.
Shatamanam Bhavati scored points as a must watch family entertainer during sankranti and though it is not an exceptional one, it is a suitable entertainer during Sankranti and that was the reason film is getting good collections.
No one expected such kind of film from Satish Vegesna who earlier came with comedy crapers like Dongala Bandi and Ramadandu. It is comingout that Shatamanam is not his recent idea. Satish penned a short story ‘Oori Payanametu’ 15 years back and sent it to a popular daily. However the daily rejected the story and sent him back. He could have dumped the story but he had so much confidence on it that he narrated it to Jagapathi Babu when he was working as a dialogue writer for Kabaddi Kabaddi.
Jagapathi Babu said though he loked the film it will not be suitable for a film but will suit as a short film. However even that didnot turn out to be a reality. While working for Subrahmanyam for Sale, he got closer to Dil Raju and during that time narrated this story. Dil Raju at once loved it and locked the story. During that time Satish had only two page story but both later radied full length script suitable for a film and thus Shatamanam Bhavati is stealing the hearts of all.
