The ruling party in Telangana State TRS got shock from its MP Mr. Konda Visweswar Reddy who submitted his resignation to the party and planning to join Congress.
The prediction of Mr. Revanth Reddy has come into truth with this resignation. Mr. Revanth last week informed media that two MPs and one MLC from the TRS would suppose to join congress and sniffing the plans of Mr. Visweswar Reddy last week, Minister KTR rushed to his residence and tried to convince him. Following KTR’s diplomacy, Mr. Reddy had announced that he would never leave the party. But, shockingly on Tuesday, he submitted his resignation and sources said that he would submit his resignation for his membership in parliament to the speaker of Lok Sabha.
On evening, Mr. Visweswar Reddy released a video in social media which explains why he took the decision. “I was attracted with the Telangana movement and joined it by a call given by Professor Kodandaram. The Chief Minister KCR was also very active in the T-movement and I felt happy for working with them. We got separate state. We formed our government. But, the anti-Telangana movement elements were given priority in the government. Those who attacked on the protesters and agitators of T-movement are now in good position in the government. It is an insult to the real T-Activists. It is an insult to the martyrs of Telangana Movement. Though the Telangana government was formed, an activist from Tandur Mr. Ayub Khan committed suicide as there was no development,” Mr. Viswswar Reddy explained in the video.
He also said that there was no development in undivided Rangareddy district and such circumstances forced him to leave TRS.
Sources said that Mr. Visweswar Reddy would join in Congress on November 23 during the public meeting of UPA Chairperson Ms. Sonia Gandhi and AICC President Mr. Rahul Gandhi. “We are expecting one more MP and few other TRS recent former legislatures of council will also join Congress,” they added.
