Sree Vishnu’s SWAG released on October 4th and the film received poor response. The film’s producer TG Vishwa Prasad criticized the reviews. The word of mouth was utterly poor and so are the opening numbers and the collections. The team celebrated the success despite poor numbers. The film now landed on OTT and it is now streaming on Amazon Prime in just three weeks after the theatrical release. When a film is not doing well in theatres, the makers are not much bothered about the digital streaming. The producers are criticized for the three week OTT window which is not a healthy sign.
The audience have turned quite selective and their perspective changed after the early streaming dates. They are habitual of a four week OTT window and this is stopping them from stepping into the theatres. But a three week OTT window is a horrible move from the makers. Irrespective of the decision maker, this is not a good sign for cinema and it impacts the theatrical business and the theatrical run. SWAG presented Sree Vishnu in different shades and Hashit Goli directed the film.
