Nandamuri Balakrishna’s landmark film Gauthamiputra Satakarni, which will be his 100th outing on the silver screen, is rolling in Hyderabad at present. After completion of a crucial first schedule in Morocco, the unit has started filming some important scenes in the outskirts of Hyderabad where a lavish set has been erected.
The fresh update is that Shriya Saran, who ruled the roost in Tollywood a few years ago, has been confirmed as the female lead for the film. It is learnt that the makers felt that Shriya fits the bill perfectly and zeroed in on her after much deliberation. This will be comeback of sorts for Shriya and she previously shared screen with Balakrishna in Chenna Kesava Reddy.
Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, Gauthamiputra Satakarni boasts an ensemble cast and Devi Sri Prasad is composing the tunes. First Frame Entertainment banner is producing this much anticipated film which is slated for January 2017 release.
