Nandamuri Balakrishna reached the magical 100th film mark and the movie has been titled Gautamiputra Satakarni. Touted to be a periodic drama, this big budget film is currently under shoot and is being directed by Krish. The movie is said to be the life story of warrior of Satavahana empire named Gautamiputra Satakarni who ruled the country during 2nd century. Balakrishna will be seen in a completely new look and the movie is being made on a budget of Rs 70 crores. Shriya Saran is the female lead and Bollywood actress Hema Malini will be seen as Balakrishna’s mother in the film.
On the eve of Shriya’s birthday, the makers unveiled the look of the actress and she will be essaying the role of Vashisti Devi in the film. Her look as royal princess will impress the audience. Chiranthan Bhatt is the music composer and First Frame Entertainments is producing Gautamiputra Satakarni. The movie has been slated for Sankranthi release next year. The expectations on the film already crossed the skies.
