Kamal Haasan will join forces with Malayalam filmmaker TK Rajeev Kumar is a known news. The film, a multilingual family drama, will go on floors very soon. Close sources to the unit revealed that the makers have roped in Ramya Krishna to play Kamal’s wife in the film. Initially, Amala Akkineni was supposed to play the role, but the reasons for her omission is not yet revealed.
It is learnt that Kamal’s daughter and one of the leading actresses in South, Shruthi Haasan, will also play an important role in this film. This film will be a reunion of sorts because Kamal will be working with Rajeev Kumar after 27 years. Maestro Illayaraja will be rendering music for Kamal’s film for the first time in 11 years. Also, Ramya Krishna will team up with Kamal after 14 years. Previously, they worked for Panchatantram in 2002.
