Singapore PM Lee Hsien Loong Congratulated Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu for achieving second among the India states and union territories in the ease of doing business. The rank has been assigned by the World Bank in association with some professional organizations. Naidu met Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong this midday to extend invitation to the foundation laying ceremony for the construction of Amaravati, the capital of Andhra Pradesh.
In the meeting Naidu proudly announced to the PM that the World Bank had assigned second rank on the all India scale to the state of Andhra Pradesh in the ease of doing business.Naidu, who has been on Singapore trip for the past two days, on Tuesday met Lee, congratulated him for his third consecutive term as the PM.While thanking the city-state for preparing the master plan for preparing the master plan for the proposed world-class capital, Naidu urged the Loong to extend similar cooperation in transforming Andhra Pradesh into a Knowledge economy and erecting the world-class infrastructure in the capital city. Naidu laid before the Singapore PM his ambitious plan to transform the long coast line of Andhra Pradesh into a logistic hub for the entire eastern hemisphere.
Lee also congratulated Naidu for his achievement in so short a term of fifteen months. The CM briefed the PM about the historical and spiritual importance of Amaravati. He also disclosed to the PM that AP had embarked on the mission making Andhra a one of the important toursist and spiritual destination for Buddhists across the world. Naidu also elaborated how he persuaded people to come forward to offer their land for the land-pooling taken up for the construction of the capital.
