Sita Movie Review Rating
Telugu360 Rating : 2.25/5
Director Teja teamed up with young hero Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas and actress Kajal Aggarwal for a film titled as SITA. Going by the title and the trailers, it is billed as a female centric film with Kajal playing a powerful character as a ruthless business woman. SonuSood is essaying a significant character in this film.
Let’s find out if Teja gives the much break to Bellamkonda or not.
Story:
Constructions company owner SITA (Kajal Aggarwal) signs a crazy agreement with a Goonda MLA Basavaraj( SonuSood) to demolish the houses in City’s slum area. In return she agrees to have a one month live-in relationship with the MLA. Upon he completes his task, Sita backs off from her part. Meanwhile, Sita goes to Bhutan to meet RAM ( Sai Srinivas) . MLA Basavaraj chases them RAM unknowingly rescues her in few instances. After some time, the couple being on run, the efforts to capture them forms the rest of the film
Analysis:
Sita film has a unique story line with Sita’s crazy characterization and Ram’s challenging role. Initially it’ll take little time for audience to adjust to the different narration style of director Teja. Heroine Sita – an eccentric, stylish and street smart business woman role has been played by Kajal. She is not perfect in the role, but has performed adequately, MLA Govindaraju, his advisor Jayababu( Tanikella Bharani) ‘s conversations are funny. Entire scenes shot in Bhutan are farcical.Too many twists towards the end, film length are the major complaints
Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas got a challenging role in lines of yesteryear’s classic Swatimutyam’s hero role. Sai who suits better for mass action films, is a misfit in Raghu ram role. This Ram role requires much variations in performance. The character artists casting is bad as well.
First half of the film is somewhat bearable, lengthy second half with so many twists makes it a so-so film. Koyilamma ,Bullreddy two songs are good on screen. Production values are adequate
Positives:
- Two Songs
- Kajal Aggarwal character
- Some funny conversations between Villains, his team memner
Negatives:
– Hero character, performance
– Overaction of lead pair
– Too many twits in the plot
Verdict:
Sita offers little entertainment but main storyline and narration are clichéd ones. While first half is adequate, overall it is not a satisfactory product.
