Hyderabad: Skeletons keep tumbling out in Nayeem’s case as another associate of the gangster has been caught by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in Bhongir on Friday. The Nayeem’s follower, identified as Saggara Hari, has been involved in several settlements and land deals in Telangana. The SIT sleuths shifted Hari to the SIT office in Hyderabad for further investigation.

Following a complaint from one electronics and sanitary store owner Narahari in Bhongir, accused Hari was arrested by the police. Saggari Hari, who is a native of Kakinada, had settled in Bhongir town by setting up a small business. The police suspect that Hari has been a confidant of Nayeem and made several settlements by scaring local businessmen along with Nayeem.

As part of the investigation, the SIT police conducted raids in a flat belonged to relative of Nayeem and A2 accused in the case – Saleem alias Faheem, in Ongole town of Prakasam district. The locals told the SIT team that Saleem stayed in the flat along with his family members over one and half year and sold it off to another person 10 days before Nayeem got killed in an encounter. The SIT officials sought help from the local police to gain entry into the flat and secure valid documents related to the case.

Telangana Home Minister on Friday asserted that any person irrespective of political backup involved in Nayeem’s atrocities would be punished severely.
