IT raids Balakrishna

In the wake of demonetization, the income tax department is conducting sudden raids to check the black money. The IT sleuths are on a rampage from the past couple weeks and they have already recovered Crores of illegal cash hoarded in the denominations of Rs 500 and Rs 1000. Telugu film personalities are not an exception to these raids. 60 Crores has already been seized by the officials from Baahubali producers.

Now, the IT officials have targeted Nandamuri Balakrishna’s family. Going by the latest reports, Balakrishna’s wife and few other family members were questioned by the IT department who stopped their vehicle enroute to Tirupathi. It is learnt that Balakrishna’s wife Vasundara is carrying 10 Lakhs cash in old denominations and the sleuths, based on a tip off, stopped the vehicle and questioned about the illegal possession of cash.

The family has submitted their identity proofs and stated that they are going to donate the cash to Lord Venkateswara Swamy. The IT officials have recorded their statement and allowed them to continue their pilgrimage. Further reports on this news are awaited.
