In a bid to launch his son and IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao to be the man-in-second in the party, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao has reportedly made KTR to lead the ensuing GHMC polls from the front.
Hyderabad: At last, at last the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao has learnt to have made his first move for a ‘Son Rise in TRS’. If what comes from the grapevine is to be believed KTR is tipped to be become the man-the-second in the TRS party, and he will be leading the TRS party in the ensuing Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections.
The decision has been taken to endear the multi-cultural voter strength in a cosmopolitan city like Hyderabad. Voters in big numbers living in Hyderabad are a bit worried lot when it comes to TRS, as it has always portrayed itself as a pan Telanana party. So, most of the time other than in old city, voters from other regions who have made Hyderabad as their home are either preferred Congress, BJP, or TDP vis a vis TRS.
Now, the ruling party wanted to change this political kaleidoscope and to endear all sections in its favor. For this, says the party sources, KTR is considered as the best bet to rely on. “There are some leaders like the Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy and the like who are popular among the workers community.” But, when it comes to others, even the KCR might not be in a position to influence them with his magic of oratory. It was against this back ground, as well as to launch KTR to go to next level, he was reportedly given the charge of leading the GHMC elections from the front. Few other leaders like the home minister and others would be assisting for the KCR’s ”Son Raise” in the party, for the party feels he has the grit to get along with all kinds of voters. But, when it comes to people from Seemandhra, will the magic of KTR works or not is to be seen, which the party would take as an experience to address during the ensuing assembly elections, the sources pointed out.
