All our Tollywood actors are throwing the baggage of pan-Indian release on their film producers and this is costing them a bomb. All the recent films of Nani, Varun Tej, Sai Dharam Tej, Nikhil, Vishwak Sen, Nithiin and others announced about having a pan-Indian release. Some of the producers released the films on their own in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages. Going through these releases, most of the films failed to recover their investments in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages. Some of the producers sold off the rights for minimal prices without taking extra risk.
Nani was strict on his stand and he released Dasara in a wide number of theatres in North India. The producer had to bear the expenses and the film was rejected badly. Hi Nanna and Saripodhaa Sanivaaram did not release in North but these films released in South. Excluding the Karnataka region, the films did badly in all the South languages. Considering the trend, the audience are not watching Telugu films in the South Indian states in theatres excluding those of Prabhas and Rajamouli for now. Allu Arjun enjoys terrific craze in Kerala. But the actors are forcing their producers to dub the film in all the South languages. Most of the pan-Indian releases are just restricted to posters considering the poor buzz and hype in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
