No doubt there were several doubts and apprehensions among the people of Andhra Pradesh after the announcement on special development package by the Central government. What is the inner feeling of AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on package? – is one question that has been hovering over Andhra people. Allaying all fears and doubts TDP leader and Union Minister Sujana Chowdhary clarified the stand of Telugu Desam Party on special status.
The TDP and the BJP have the equal share in bifurcating the State. It may be recalled that the TDP MPs and the BJP MPs too extended support to the AP Reorganisation Bill, 2014, moved in Parliament at the time of State bifurcation. Chandrababu Naidu, has mastered the art of influencing people of the State, has good support from some media bigwigs who have lowered their standards. They seize every opportunity to blow the trumpet of Naidu.
This pro media outlets have given some work to their brains in misdirecting Seemandhra people and staged a play called – “special status”. The people are made to believe that special status category has many benefits to the State. The special status tag was only accorded to those States which has hills and forests but the tag was not given to the State like Andhra Pradesh ever. This assumed some momentum and people started to believe that the State would witness a rapid change.
Claiming that Andhra Pradesh would get developed in all spheres in the next five years if special status is announced, some leaders cashed on Seemandhra people’s anger on Telangana State.
Apparently, Seemandhra people went on to believe that special status is lifeline of Andhra Pradesh and no future is visible to the coming generation without it.
