Superstar Mahesh Babu pinned all his hopes on his last outing Spyder which has been directed by AR Murugadoss. Leaving many in surprise, the film ended up as one of the biggest debacles in the history of Indian cinema. Zee Telugu acquired the satellite rights of the film even before its release. Spyder has been screened on television during Sankranthi season and the film has been even rejected on small screen. Spyder received a TRP of 6.7 which is quite low for a biggie.
Srikanth’s son debut film Niramala Convent managed to get a TRP of 8.1 which is higher than that of Spyder. NTR’s recent outing Jai Lava Kusa and Ravi Teja’s Raja the Great too have been screened on television during the holiday season and received a TRP of 17.1 which is decent for both the films. This is a huge blow for Spyder as the film has been badly rejected even on small screen.
