After considering various combinations, legendary auteur Mani Ratnam has officially given up plans to proceed with his next film which was touted to be a bilingual revenge drama.

After striking back strongly with O Kadal Kanmani (OK Bangaram), which released earlier this year, the ace filmmaker took some gap and then decided to work on a multistarrer film. He has roped in Dulquer Salmaan and Karthi for the lead roles. He also confirmed Nitya Menon and Keerthi Suresh as the heroines. When everything was in place for the project to take off, Dulquer made a sudden exit due to the clash of dates with his next projects.

Then, Mani Ratnam roped in Nani and was busy with the pre production work. Suddenly, Keerthi Suresh walked out of the project as there was delay in the commencement of the shooting. Also, rumors are rife that the project is yet to get a producer and the final script has not yet been locked.

So, with no other options left, Mani Ratnam has ditched the project.
