Taking the brawl to the new height, state BJP today demanded a whitepaper on the funds released to Andhra Pradesh by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government and how they were spent.
Reacting on the sustained campaign by TDP leaders that NDA government had not given adequate funding to the state, party Rajahmundry City MLA Dr Akula Satyanarayana alleged that all the aspirants of cabinet berth were talking crap against Modi’s government only to attract the attention of their boss, Chandrababu Naidu.
“If you want crawl before your leader do it. But not indulge in maligning Prime Minister Modi led government and the BJP,” Dr Satyanarayana cautioned yellow brigade talking to telugu360.com from Rajahmundry.
“Centre has released enough funds to capital construction. What happened to these funds? More than half of the budget of rural development and urban development department is provided by centre in the form of centrally sponsored schemes. The state government has never been kind to Modi for the liberal assistance and it has never used the name of Prime Minister Modi in the programs. Is it the ‘sama nyayam’ the chief minister always talks about,” the BJP MLA asked.
Defending the division of Andhra Pradesh, he said smaller states had been the policy of BJP for ages and Naidu knew it very well at the time of entering pre-poll alliance with BJP. ” We are not craving TDP alliance,” he said without ambiguity.
Satyanarayana was unhappy that Naidu was publicizing the 24X7 power supply as his own achievement.
“Naidu should reveal to the people who is responsible for the uninterrupted power supply. Because centre has included Andhra Pradesh in the list of states to be provided with 24X7 power supply, the AP is enjoying the adequate power. Not because of any great achievement of TDP government. Similarly, who is funding the laying of cement roads and highways in Andhra Pradesh ? Is it not Nitin Gadkari, union surface transport minister,” he asked.
Satyanarayana advised the TDP leaders to stop using BJP-bashing to please Naidu to get cabinet berths.
