Noted Bollywood director Subhash Ghai is contemplating to set up a film institute with international standards in Telangana. On Monday, the producer of many blockbuster movies in Hindi shared his plans with Telangaana IT and PR minister K Taraka Ramarao. Ramarao explained Ghai the steps the Telangana government initiated to develop the movie industry in the nascent state. Expressing satisfaction at the initiatives, Ghai informed that he was ready to work with Telangana government.
Stating that he was ready to set up a film institute in near Hyderabad, Ghai said he had also kept the blueprint ready for the project. Ghai invited Ramarao to visit his Whistling Woods International (WWI), Institute for Film, Fashion & Communication in Mumbai.
Founded in 2006, within a short span of 8 years, the Institute has become the preferred destination to nurture creative talent in India & globally. Ghai also expressed willingness to extend the activities of his Mukha arts to Hyderabad. Ramarao asked Ghai to set up another WWI near Rachakonda, where the Telangana government is planning to develop an entertainment city. The IT minister also requested the Bollywood mega producer to become part of the proposed gaming city.
