Megastar Chiranjeevi’s SyeRaa, based on the unsung freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, is undoubtedly the most eagerly awaited film of the season. The massive hype and hysteria surrounding the film are going to ensure a thumping start at the box office on its opening day. While the domestic openings are likely to be mind-boggling, the overseas premiers are set for a decent start.
As per the latest trends, SyeRaa pre sales are close to $ 265K till now which is a good number. But, the footfalls should considerably increase on premiers day to make it a strong start. Trade circles are predicting a $ 700K – $ 800K start from premiers at this pace and million dollar mark will be touch and go if the film manages to garner hit talk from afternoon shows.
Chiranjeevi’s previous film Khaidi No 150 had a record breaking start at US box office with close to $ 1.5M from premiers. So trade circles are expecting a solid start for SyeRaa as craze in audience has reached a new high after the breathtaking teasers and trailers were unveiled by the makers.
