Megastar Chiranjeevi’s SyeRaa, which is gearing up for release on October 2nd, is doing tremendous business in all territories. Telugu360 already reported that the film has been sold for staggering prices next to Baahubali in both Telugu states. Now, it is exclusively learnt that the overseas rights have been snapped by Phars Films for 18 Crores.
As per trade estimates, SyeRaa need to recover around 12-13 Crores from North America to be termed as a safe venture in overseas. The breakeven mark in USA is going to be close to $ 3.3 M. Considering the strong hype surrounding the film and Chiru’s craze among overseas audience, it is going to be a safe bet for buyers. As films like Rangasthalam and Bharat Ane Nenu breached the $ 3.5 M mark with positive talk and decent reviews, all SyeRaa need is a good word of mouth from premiers to enter the profit zone. Chiranjeevi’s previous film Khaidi No 150 collected more than $ 2.5 M in USA.
Directed by Surender Reddy, SyeRaa is carrying huge buzz in audience and trade circles. Made on a whopping budget, the film features an ensemble cast from Bollywood and South India. Ram Charan has produced the film on Konidela Productions.
