Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member from Telangana Palvai Govardhan Reddy expired in Manali on Friday after suffering a cardiac arrest. Palvai, who went to Kullu in Himachal Pradesh to attend the Parliamentary Standing Committee meeting, suffered heart attack while travelling in the car and was subsequently shifted to nearby hospital in Shimla.
He is a senior leader in the Congress party of Nalgonda district. Arrangements are being done to shift his body to Hyderabad. Born in Nadimpally village of erstwhile mahabubnagar, palvai became MLA for the first time in 1967. The Telangana State as a Member of Parliament assumed office on 3April, 2012 and was shifted to Telangana from AP on 2 May 2014. He survives with a daughter and two sons. Telangana state Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao condoled the death of Palwa. many leaders expressed their deepest condolences.
Chief Minister asked Chief Secretary S P Singh and Delhi Resident Commissioner Arvind Kumar to make all the arrangements to bring the deceased to the state capital. He asked MPs Kesava Rao and Jitender Reddy to monitor all the required arrangements.
