Governor of AP and Telangana ESL Narasimhan and Tata Sons Chairman Emeritus Ratan Tata on Thursday inaugurated the first phase of T-Hub phase -1 in Hyderabad, the largest in the country. It is set up in Public-private partnership, the T-Hub will also join hands with Indian School of Business (ISB), the National Law University, Hyderabad( Nalsar) and IIIT-H. The three world class institutes will provide mentorship in their respective areas of competence. The first phase of the Hub, coming up in 70,000 sq ft and named Catalyst, is located at the International Institute for Information Technology (IIIT-Hyderabad) at Gachibowli.
Welcoming the guests, Telangana IT minister K T Rama Rao said everything was planned with message ‘come with an idea leave with a product’. The first phase is planned with an out lay of Rs 40 crore. It is going to house 200 start-ups.
Stating the Telangana government had the plans to invest Rs 150 crore, he said the government would ensure that the Hyderabad would become the start-up capital of the country. The second phase T-Hub would come up near Rayadurgam in 15 acres, Rama Rao said and added that it would be developed in 3 lakh sq ft built up area. Address the gathering after the inauguration, Ratan Tata said the T-Hub would become the face of India.
Governor ESL Narasimhan suggested to the promoters of T-Hub and IT minister Rama Rao to promote talents from Rural areas with the help of T-Hub. He said he was surprised to see the grand T-Hub. ” The new T-Hub will pave a new development path for the state of Telangana,” the governor hoped.
