Recent allegations in the Telangana assembly over the alleged illegal operations of Andhra Pradesh’s private bus operators in Telangana, has led to spark a row today at RTA office. Tension mounted when both TDP MLA from Tadipatri JC Prabhakar Reddy and TRS MLA from Mahabubnagar Srinivas Goud reached for a show off on their respective allegations. However, police interfered and taken Reddy into custody.
Srinivas Goud accused in the Telangana assembly that AP operators have been running buses in Telangana state without valid permissions from Telangana government. Refuting his allegations, Prabhakar Reddy, who is also a bus oprator said he is having all valid permission and ready to show at any place. After mutual allegations and challenges, they have decided to meet at Hyderabad RTA office to verify those documents.
Goud deplored that Telangana RTC has been incurring huge losses due to `illegal’ bus operations from AP. He alleged that traveller busses are being flying in the name of `stage carriers’. To show the facts, he reached RTA office this morning with his followers. Later when Prabhakar Reddy is also reaching their, he was taken into custody at the gate itself.
Reddy condemning his arrest, asked why not Goud was not arrested. ”I have the responsibility to show facts when a wild allegation was made”, he said.
However, Srinivas Goud said that he had made allegations against many private operators from the neighbouring state, not particularly about JC’s operations. With regard to Palen bus burning incident, he said he want to show documents he is having to counter Reddy’s denial that bus is not belongs to them. “If he felt my documents are not original, let him file a forgery case against me”, he added.
After some time police released him and again he reaches RTA office to submit a memorandum to the officials refuting Goud’s allegations. Incidentally, Prabhakar Reddy is brother of Anantapur MP JC Diwakar Reddy.
