Officials supported ruling party only, says Anam

0

Former minister and senior TDP leader Anam Ramanarayana Reddy on Friday said that the officials have supported the ruling YSR Congress in the just-concluded general election to the Assembly and Parliament.

He said that the officials did not support the TDP as alleged. He also said that the officials have failed to provide security at the polling booths on the day of polling. They have ignored even the sensitive polling booths as well, he said.

He said that Marripadu mandal in Atmakur Assembly constituency is a sensitive area. The officials have just deployed women police at the polling stations in the mandal, he alleged. People here use country bombs, and it is a known fact, he said. However, the police did not provide proper security here, he said.

He said he took the issue to the notice of the election commission. But no one responded to his complaint, he said. He said that he then alerted the TDP polling agents and prevented rigging in several booths. The ruling YSR Congress had made arrangements for rigging in the mandals, but the TDP could prevent it, he said.

Ramanarayana Reddy said that the TDP-led NDA alliance would form the government after June 4. He said that people have come in large numbers only to vote for the TDP and alliance. The women were in large numbers, he said and they came to the polling stations because of the free bus travel promise by the TDP, he said.

He alleged that chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy did not take care of the welfare of the people in the last five years. All that Jagan Mohan Reddy encouraged was the mafia, he alleged. He also alleged that Jagan Mohan Reddy had looted the state in five years.

He found fault with the government bringing the Land Titling Act and termed it as anti-constitutional. He asked the government to withdraw the Land Titling Act. He said that Jagan Mohan Reddy has no experience in administration. The state requires an experienced leader like Chandrababu Naidu, he said.

Anam to meet his supporters tomorrow in Nellore

0

Former minister and Venkatagiri MLA, Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, had said that he would hold a meeting with his supporters in the district on Sunday. He asked his supporters from Nellore district, particularly from Venkatagiri, Nellore and Atmakur Assembly constituencies to come for the meeting.

Ramanarayana Reddy had met TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu in Hyderabad on Friday evening and returned to Nellore on Saturday. On return, he met the party leaders at his home. TDP leaders Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, and other TDP leaders joined the brief meeting.

Later, speaking to the media, Ramanarayana Reddy said that they have discussed the arrangements for the party general secretary Nara Lokesh’s padayatra. He said that the party leaders are working hard to make the padayatra a success in Nellore district, which starts from June 13.

The former minister said that he would join the TDP after Lokesh’s padayatra was completed in Nellore district.

Ramanarayana Reddy was one of the four MLAs that the ruling YSR Congress had suspended from the party after the MLC elections. The other three are Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy and Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy, both from Nellore district and Vundavalli Sridevi from Guntur district. The YSR Congress alleged that the four MLAs have voted for the TDP candidate in the MLC elections, attracting disciplinary action.

Ramanarayana Reddy is the contemporary of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu. He served as Roads and Buildings Minister in late N T Rama Rao’s cabinet in 1985, then as Information and Public Relations Minister in late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy’s government in 2007 and Municipal Administration and Urban Development minister in late K Rosaiah’s cabinet and finance minister during N Kiran Kumar Reddy regime.

YSRCP not to act on Kotamreddy, denies phone tapping

1

The ruling YSR Congress is not ready to take any disciplinary action against Nellore rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy for his open criticism of the party and allegations of his phone tapping by the government.

The party is also not ready to take any action against another MLA from Venkatagiri Assembly constituency in Nellore district, Anam Ramanarayana Reddy also alleged phone tapping by the government. He went one step further and alleged that he had a life threat from his own party.

YSR Congress general secretary and government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, who interacted with the media at the party central office in Tadepalli said that the two MLAs have secret understanding with the opposition TDP.

“What action is required when they have tied-up with the opposition party,” Sajjala asked. He also alleged that the MLAs were acting as per the directions of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu. He alleged that Naidu was known for such conspiracies and Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy is one such conspiracy.

Sajjala also said that there was no need for the chief minister to tap the mobile phones of the MLAs or any other leader. “Jagan Mohan Reddy believes in the people and not the phones,” Sajjala said.

Meanwhile, the MLA alleged that the government was tapping his mobile phone. He said that a senior police official had directly told him about the phone tapping. He wondered why the government should tap his phone and insult him when he is a strong loyalist of the leadership.

“I have been a strong supporter of Jagan Mohan Reddy right from the beginning. I have done so much for the party and the leadership. I expected that my services would be recognized. But I was insulted and ignored,” Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy said.

One Anam Ramanarayana Reddy = 100 problems for YSRCP

0

The YSRCP leadership is increasingly realizing that Anam Ramnarayana Reddy inside the party is much more problematic than Anam Ramnarayan Reddy outside the party. He is increasingly seen as someone who is alienating the party workers and promoting groupism within the party.

Firstly, he is putting the party in a spot of bother with his statements slamming his own government. He has also made comments against Minister Ravikumar Yadav and expressed his exasperation at not being made a minister once too often. As if this was not enough, he is alienating the grassroots level leadership.

In fact, before his joining of the YSRCP ahead of 2019 elections, the party had leaders like Bommireddy Raghavendra Reddy, Ramprasad Reddy, Suresh Reddy and Delhi Babu. Suresh and Delhi Babu, who strongly opposed Anam’s entry became inactive soon after he joined the party. But, Anam managed to convince them to work together during the 2019 elections.

But soon after, he began to encourage groupism in the party. Anam promoted Bhanupriya as the municipal chairperson instead of senior politician Dontu Sarada,. Though Sarada was compensated with a nominated post, the gap continued and several leaders had complained against Anam. Another senior leader Ramprasada Reddy and former MLA Saikrishna Yachendra too have lodged a complaint against Anam over the issue of co-option members in the Nellore Municipal Corporation.

Vexed with Anam, party affairs incharge Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy is believed to have stepped in to address the issue. He is said to have held a meeting with the leaders of anti-Anam factions. He is said to be trying to convince the disgruntled leaders. Anam Ramnarayana Reddy is thus proving to be a tough nut to crack for the even the biggies of the YSRCP.

Uncertain political future stares at this former finance minister

0

Former minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy is a deeply disgruntled man. He is not at peace in his own party – the YSRCP. The party has not given him any post of importance. While people much junior to him are enjoying positions of power, Anam has been completely marginalized. This, according to the political watchers, is the reason for his grouse.

On last Independence Day, Anam was not given the protocol that he deserved and was not even invited to the official festivities. He is also upset that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is not giving him time to put across his case. To add insult to injury, none of the ministers from Nellore district consult him on any issue. This has mightily upset Anam Ramnarayan Reddy.

It is because of this anger and frustration that Anam has recently talked about the local mafia. He said that the local police were in collusion with the local mafia. However, Anam did not specify who the mafia is and which police official is in cahoots with them. Without specifics, this is nothing but a wild allegation and the police have dismissed these comments.

The problem for Anam is that he is not even sure of getting a YSRCP ticket for the 2024 elections. Jagan is not even consulting him on any issue. If he does not get the party ticket, his political career will hit a dead-end. It is this frustration that is making him speak in this manner, say sources. What a situation for someone who was once the finance minister of the undivided state?

Anam fires at YCP water scams once again: Reddys’ infighting

0

Internal differences within YCP leaders are disclosing to the public many irregularities these days. Former Finance Minister Anam Ramanarayana once again targetted his own party Government on the issue of water distribution. Already, allegations came up that some ruling party leaders have sold out waters in Somasila reservoir. This time, Anam demanded explanations from the officials why only 290 cusecs water reached Chennai while they have actually released 1,300 cusecs from Kandaleru head regulator.

Of all scams taking place since YCP came to power, water scams are badly embarrassing the Government. But still, no clarifications are coming forth either from the Irrigation Minister or from the department senior officials. Now, Anam threatened to hold a press conference once again soon to come out with more details of highly objectionable activities in the irrigation department.

Anam also launched a bitter attack on the DRDA Project Director, asking whether such a District Officer was there to arrange tea, coffee and snacks for the Ministers. When asked to attend review meetings, the PD was talking about arrangements to be made at Guest House for the Ministers.

Anam said that he made demands for releasing water for his Venkatagiri constituency but there was no action so far. With this, doubts are arising whether his assembly segment is not part of Andhra Pradesh. The engineers should clarify whether Venkatagiri is deleted from the list of the total 175 assembly constituencies in the state.

Whole AP a mafia hub: Andhra Jyothi on Anam

0

No doubt, the AP government has taken an iron grip on the sand and liquor sales with its arbitrary policies. In a way, the ruling party MLAs and Ministers are calling the shots and dictating terms in these aspects. The opposition leaders Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan and BJP have accused YCP of running a mafia-like rule in the state. Amid such allegations, CM Jagan Reddy got a rude shock from within his party. His party MLA Anam Ramanarayana Reddy has commented that Nellore people are suffering very badly because of the organised sand, liquor, land grab and bettings mafias. Obviously, Anam’s comments came as a big boost to the opposition parties which are already making such allegations.

Taking this advantage, the Andhra Jyothi has given a new interpretation to Anam Ramanarayana Reddy’s statements. It says that the comprehensive mafia rule was not just confined to Nellore city. The whole Andhra is reeling under the grip of this mafia. The paper made an ultimate criticism of Jagan Reddy Rule by saying that honest IPS officers are being targetted if they oppose mafia regime. The recent transfers of Nellore, Chittoor and Kadapa SPs were an example of how district level YCP leaders are dictating terms to the police department.

Showcause to YCP MLA for anti-Jagan Circar comments

0

The supreme leader is all in all in some regional parties and more so in the YCP. But experienced leader like MLA Anam Ramanarayana Reddy forgot about this and made sensational comments against the Jaganmohan Reddy government on the issue of mafia control over sand, land grabbings, bettings, etc. Being a ruling party MLA, it is considered a serious offence. CM has taken it as a big disappointment especially at a time when the Modi-Shah duo are giving a very tough time to his government. There’s also the problem of such rebellious nature spreading among other MLAs in all districts. To nip all internal opposition in the bud, Jagan has decided to issue showcause notice to Anam soon.

MP Vijayasai Reddy has already hit back strongly at Anam saying that nobody can dare to question the leadership of Adhinayakudu (supreme leader) of the party. If Anam has objections, he should have talked about this with Jagan Reddy himself directly. Political circles say that Anam controversy has hurt the YCP leadersip very badly. This is more so at a time when the TDP, Jana Sena and BJP leaders are making non-stop attacks on the government’s failures.

YCP MLA sensational comments: Nellore mafias

0

Has YCP Venkatagiri MLA Anam Ramanarayana Reddy raised a banner of revolt against Jagan Circar? He made sensational comments on the deteriorated law and order in Nellore city. He says that like never before, Nellore is getting crushed under the iron grip of all kinds of mafias. Name any mafia, it is there in the city. Ramanarayana Reddy said that there are land, betting and liquor mafias striking constant fear in the hearts of the people. Average person is not able to speak out and they are silently suffering.

Ramanarayana Reddy has been ignored in YCP Regime though he was a former minister in the Congress rule. At that time, he even attacked and called Jagan Reddy an economic terrorist. But prior to 2019 election, he joined YCP and got elected as MLA. For quite sometime, Ramanarayana Reddy is unhappy with the goings-on in Nellore. Officials are fearing to work in Nellore. Four SPs were changed in just five years indicating the level of mafia interference.

TDP’s Second Phase of Project Akarsha

0

TDP alll set to launch its second phase of Project Akarsha with the re-entry of Senior Congress leader and former Finance Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy from Nellore. And, the TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu is reportedly wanted to bring a change in the political landscape wherever the YSRCP is dominant.

Hyderabad: Telugu Desam Party National President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu seems to going all out to roll out the second phase of Project Akarsha, with the entry Senior Congress leader and former Finance Minister Anam Ramanarayna Reddy from Nellore. The chief minister who had gone on a two-day tour to the rain hit district of Nellore has also embarked on opening up political relief camps for those prominent leader from Congress sulking after that party has been washed out in the last general elections.

Ramanarayana Reddy and Vivekananda Reddy prominently know for Nellore Reddy brothers have earned a name for being dominant on the political arena in the district. And, ahead of a delayed cabinet expansion, the Chief Minister is reportedly mulling to bring back the brains that played a crucial role during the Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s regime. This he hopes would strengthen the party. Particularly, Nellore is going to play a key role in the coming years, as the government has been planning to roll out many important projects in that district.
Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P Naryana is a close confident of the Chief Minister from Nellore district. B, when it comes to political battles, Naidu is reportedly of the view, that there need to be seasoned leaders with political acumen who can take on the main opposition the YSRCP party.

At present, the YSRCP has seven assembly seats in its kitty against the ruling party that could win only three assembly seats. So, “It seems that the TDP chief is mulling to bring a change in the political landscape wherever the YSRCP is in a dominant position,” said a senior leader from Nellore. But, the move to invite Ramanarayna Reddy is seen a loss by many prospective senior leaders within the party expecting plum posts like either cabinet ministers, chairman’s of corporations and the like. It is these leaders within the party who had earlier opposed brining in Narayana into cabinet have been once again raising their voices against the entry of Ramanaryana Reddy. However, during a recent interaction with the district party leaders, and key senior party leaders, Naidu has reportedly assured that their interest would be taken care, and entry of the Senior Congress leader would not in any way come in their way.

After Nellore, the TDP is likely to set its eyes on North Coastal Districts of Visakhapatnam, Vizinagaram and Srikakulam to launch its second leg of Project Akarsha, to invite leaders from Congress and YSRCP.
