Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi during an interview criticized Prabhas and his looks in Kalki 2898 AD. His comment on Prabhas as Joker created a stir and several South actors took a dig at Arshad Warsi. Soon, fan wars started on Twitter and the fans are separated as North and South. Prabhas is yet to respond for the same. Kalki 2898 AD director Nag Ashwin responded to a fan’s tweet who posted a video from the film comparing it to Hindi movies. Nag Ashwin’s comment was humble and he also said that he will Prabhas in the best in Kalki 2898 AD sequel.

“Let’s not go backwards..no more north-south or bolly vs tolly..eyes on the bigger picture.. United Indian Film Industry..Arshad saab should have chosen his words better..but it’s ok..sending buji toys 4 his kids..il work hard so tweets fdfs that prabhas was the best ever in k2” posted Nag Ashwin for a post by a fan who compared Tollywood and Bollywood. The debate started on Twitter after Arshad Warsi’s ‘Joker’ remarks on Prabhas.

Arshad Warsi’s comment about Prabhas’ looks in the film Kalki 2898 AD has sparked an ongoing controversy. Several Telugu film personalities, including Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Nani, Sharwanand, Payal Rajput, and Sudheer Babu, have criticized Arshad’s statement. Vishnu Manchu, the president of the Movie Artistes Association (MAA), has written a letter to the president of the Cine & TV Artists Association (CINETAA) in Mumbai, expressing concern over Arshad’s remark. Vishnu claimed that the matter has caused significant distress within the Telugu film industry. While acknowledging the right of individuals to express their views, Vishnu criticized Arshad’s “belittling” comment about Prabhas, stating that it has hurt the sentiments of many in the Telugu film community and among fans. Vishnu also highlighted that as a public figure, Arshad should have been more cautious in his expression, as social media can quickly escalate discussions. Vishnu requested that Arshad be advised to refrain from making such remarks about fellow actors in the future.

Arshad Warsi made some derogatory comments on Prabhas in a podcast interview saying that Prabhas looked like a Joker in Kalki 2898 AD. Currently, Prabhas is enjoying a pan-Indian image and he is undoubtedly the country’s biggest actor. Kalki 2898 AD also performed exceptionally well in the North Indian belt apart from South India.

Sudheer Babu posted “It’s okay to criticize constructively but it’s never okay to bad-mouth. Never expected the absence of professionalism from Arshad Warsi. Prabhas’s stature is too big for comments coming from small minds”. The statement from Sudheer Babu is a tight slap for Arshad Warsi.

Arshad Warsi openly shared his thoughts on the recent film Kalki 2898 AD, expressing his disappointment with Prabhas’ portrayal. While he praised Amitabh Bachchan’s exceptional performance as Ashwatthama, Arshad felt that Prabhas’ appearance resembled a “Joker” and believed he should have been made to look more like the iconic Mel Gibson. Acknowledging the film’s immense success, Arshad couldn’t understand the creative choices that led to Prabhas’ unconvincing look, stating “Why do filmmakers do this, I will never understand”.

In a matter of mere weeks since its debut, the movie has already shattered numerous box office milestones. Headlining the cast are the renowned actors Amitabh, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan. Furthermore, the film boasts cameo appearances from esteemed figures such as SS Rajamouli, Mrunal Thakur, Vijay Deverakonda, Dulquer Salman, and Ram Gopal Varma. Meanwhile, director Nag Ashwin is currently working on the sequel of Kalki 2898 AD and the filming commences next year.
