In Siddaramaiah’s indictment, a warning for Revanth Reddy from Delhi:

0

BJP has took on the powerful Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah by indicting him in an alleged land scam. According to the allegations of Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah’s detractors, his wife Parvati got compensated with expensive land parcels, in place of low value land foregone by her, by Mysore Urban Development Authority during Siddaramaiah’s previous tenure as CM.

While the high profile corruption case is being fought by anti-corruption activists TJ Abraham, Snehamayi Krishna and others, it took a political turn, after Karnataka Governor Thavar Chand Gehlot, gave permission for the prosecution of Karnataka CM.

While the merits and demerits of allegations will be proved later in the investigation, one thing which is sure is, without the support of BJP bosses at Delhi, this land scam case against a powerful Congress CM will not have got this far in the southern state. Though Siddaramaiah got temporary relief, by getting interim bail, it is obvious that his reputation as a clean CM has been tarnished and he has been pushed into a defensive mode.

While that’s from Karnataka, there is one key takeaway for Telangana CM Revanth Reddy in this episode. His ‘Cash-for-Vote’ case is still pending in the Courts and CM is actively pursing legal counsel in the case.

Like Karnataka Governor Thavar Chand Gehlot, Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma has been a staunch BJP man all through his life. So, there is no ruling out a Karnataka-like situation repeating in Telangana, if BJP top brass decides to take on Revanth Reddy, another powerful Congress CM in the south.

With BRS’s graph going southwards, BJP is planning to emerge as the sole opposition against ruling Congress and stabilize its foundations in Telangana. So BJP high command will leave no stone unturned to create problems for Revanth Reddy-led Congress Government.

Besides attacks from Opposition, CM Revanth Reddy, like Siddaramaiah in Karnataka, has enough contenders for top post, within the party, who will not leave even the slightest opportunity to destabilise their own CM. So, it’s a caution from across the border for Telangana CM Revanth Reddy.

Karnataka Resolution Toward NEET Exam

0

Recently Karnataka is turning on controversial bills and resolutions. Now they have come up with one more, but this time it’s thoughtful. The whole country is thundered with the NEET paper leak. Many young minds work rigorously for years to write NEET, and when a paper leak or such type of irregularities happens, years of their hard work is just thrown away.

The initiation of the Karnataka government towards the NEET exam is thoughtful.

In their resolution, the Karnataka state government has requested the union government to exempt Karnataka from the NEET exam and asked them to allow their old system Common Entrance Test (CET), which will be conducted by the state government. State Medical Educational and Skill Development Minister Dr Sharan Prakash Patil moved the resolution in the legislative assembly and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar presented the resolution in the legislative council. They asked for immediate relief for the state and asked to allow medical admissions through CET.

Dr Sharan Prakash Patil said that the massive irregularities are affecting the chances of underprivileged and rural students in their picking medical profession.

Same as Karnataka, West Bengal also has passed the resolution to scrap the NEET exam and to implement the previous system of individual state governments conducting such examinations.

Karnataka: 100% Local Reservation Bill Passed in Assembly

0

The Karnataka cabinet has approved a bill mandating 100% reservation for Kannadigas in Group C and Group D positions across all private firms. The decision was made during a cabinet meeting on Monday and subsequently approved in the assembly.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah aims to demonstrate the government’s commitment to Kannadigas by providing job opportunities. He stated that their pro-Kannada government will prioritize the welfare of Kannadigas.

The bill is scheduled to be introduced in the Assembly on Thursday. It stipulates that “any industry, factory, or other establishment shall appoint 50% of local candidates in management categories and 70% in non-management categories.”

To be eligible, candidates must either have studied Kannada as a language in their secondary school certificate or pass a Kannada proficiency test as specified by the nodal agency.

The government has also directed that if local candidates are not available for certain positions, companies must collaborate with the government to train suitable candidates within three years. However, there is some flexibility: companies can apply for relaxation if candidates meeting the requirements are unavailable.

This move represents a significant step towards promoting local employment and preserving the Kannada language and culture in Karnataka’s private sector.

Kumaraswamy, Siddaramaiah hold strategy meet in Hyderabad

7

Former Karnataka Chief Ministers H.D. Kumaraswamy and Siddaramaiah and other leaders of the Congress and the JD-S held a crucial meeting here on Friday evening to discuss the strategy to be adopted in the state Assembly on Saturday when the BJP government seeks a trust vote.

Janta Dal-Secular (JD-S) leader Kumaraswamy, Congress’ Siddaramaiah and top leaders of the two parties attended the meeting at the Taj Krishna hotel.

The two former Chief Ministers flew in to Hyderabad hours after the MLAs were shifted here by their respective parties to prevent them from being poached by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the crucial floor test in the new Assembly.

Siddaramaiah drove to the Taj Krishna and began consultations with the party leaders in the wake of the Supreme Court judgment directing Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa to take the floor test at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

According to Congress sources, the senior leader gave directions to the MLAs to ensure coordination to defeat the trust vote. The meeting was attended by all 76 MLAs of the party.

Kumaraswamy, who has already staked claim to form the government with the support of the Congress, also reached Hyderabad and drove to Novotel, where his party MLAs were camping since their arrival in the city early on Friday.

The JD-S leader held a meeting with the party leaders and discussed the strategy to be adopted on Saturday. He later drove to Taj Krishna for a meeting with Congress leaders and MLAs.

Three bus loads of MLAs arrived here after their night-long road journey from Bengaluru. This happened after the plans of the two parties to move the legislators to Kochi failed.

All 76 Congress MLAs checked in at Taj Krishna in Banjara Hills. The bus carrying 36 JD-S MLAs first stopped at Park Hyatt in the same area but was later taken to Novotel Hotel.

Police have made tight security arrangements at the two hotels. Media persons have been barred from entering while security personnel were frisking visitors before allowing them in.

Congress leader Madhu Goud Yashki, who accompanied the MLAs from Bengaluru, told reporters that the BJP was shamelessly trying to poach the MLAs. He said the BJP would fail as the Congress-JD-S enjoyed a majority.

Telangana Congress chief Uttam Kumar Reddy, senior leader Mohammed Ali Shabbir and others met the party MLAs at Taj Krishna.

Within hours of the MLAs checking in at the hotels came the Supreme Court judgment directing the BJP government in Karnataka to prove its majority on the floor of the Assembly on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the leaders of the two parties were busy making arrangements to take their MLAs back to Bengaluru. Sources said the legislators may fly to the Karnataka capital in a chartered plane.

Siddaramaiah better than Yeddyurappa : Prakash Raj

7

Actor Prakash Raj gave statement that Siddaramaiah is much better than a to the power as chief minister and he says that Siddaramaiah last 2 years of ruling has been good Prakash Raj giving such statements just before elections surprised everyone because even though he had been attacking BJP party for last few months he never took completely Congress side.

He spoke in ‘Just Asking’ program And while talking in that program he predicted that Yeddyurappa will not continue in the post of CM for more than three months even if the BJP comes to power in Karnataka. He made some interesting comments on religion too.

He told, he is not against any religion, and the religion should be used as a lamp to show light to the people but it should not be mixed with politics.

when somebody ask why you are talking all this politics now he answered them with another question “Should actors not talk about politics?”
