Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan’s visit to Chennai has created quite a sensation in Tamil Nadu politics. The political parties leaders there keenly watched which people Pawan had met during this visit and what he had spoken and whether he was interested to expand his party in that state. On his part, Jana Senani did not show much interest in meeting politicians there and he just met some of his friends, fans and local dignitaries.
During his interactions, Pawan recalled his days spent in Chennai and how Tamil youth would not tolerate the influence of national parties in their state’s politics. He said that TN leaders especially youth do not tolerate BJP’s interference at all and ‘Jallikattu’ movement was also something of an anti-BJP agitation that captured the attention of the entire country at that time.
Pawan also spoke about the need for developing strong, visionary leadership in the entire South India so that no injustice would be done to the people living in these states under any circumstances. He also recalled how saw the passion and determination of TN people in upholding their culture and tradition in times of even adversity.
Pawan also said that the anti-BJP sentiment was strengthened further in Tamil Nadu after demonetisation and the happenings that took place after the passing of Jayalalithaa. He pointed out that the people there would make all efforts to protect dravidian culture. Pawan had a hectic time during his Chennai visit as fans and his party sympathisers came in large numbers to meet him. The local media had given top preference to Pawan’s visit and they featured special interviews with him. His comments on the aspirations of South India drew wide spread attention.
