Editing plays a vital role in the success of every film. This is the reason why directors rope in top rated editors for their films. One upcoming film which is facing serious issues with the run time is Bellamkonda Srinivas’ Saakshyam.
Saakshyam was supposed to hit the screens this month, but the release has been pushed due to editing issues. It is learnt that editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is having a tough time in chopping off the lengthy fight sequences in the film.
He is furious with director Sriwaas as the total run time has exceeded four hours making it very difficult for him to edit out the unnecessary scenes. Each fight sequence Sriwaas shot is nearly thirty minutes. When the editor asked Sriwaas on why he shot such lengthy episodes, he blamed the action choreographer and suggested to take his help to edit them.
This is said to be one of the reasons why the film is getting delayed.
