Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who is planning to start fight against the Center on the injustice done to the state in the recent budget, received phone call from Home minister. Reportedly, Rajnath told – “We understand your concern. Amit Shah will talk to you regarding this. Don’t take any hasty decision.” After this phone call, TDP changed the strategy on how to deal with BJP party and central government.
Earlier, Chandrababu asked MPs to fight in Parliament and voice the injustice done to the state. TDP MPs also expressed their consent. Some of them even proposed TDP MPs to resign to their ministries at center. They reminded that people waited almost four years but still NDA government is not granting anything to AP despite TDP being their ally in NDA. Union minister Sujana Chowdary was also among the attendees in this meeting, though another minister Ashok Gajapati Raju couldn’t join. So CBN and MPs decided to voice out in parliament and outside the parliament and express their dissatisfaction on BJP’s treatment to AP state. But all this strategy got changed after phone call from Rajnath to CBN.
After the phone call from Rajnath Singh, CBN changed the strategy and directed the party MPs to first discuss with the Center regarding allocations made to the state. After those discussions, depending on the response from NDA, TDP will decide whether to continue the alliance or whether to come out of NDA.
