The TDP is a factory and a university that manufactures leadership among the Backward Classes (BCs) which promoted the leaders from the community as MPs and MLAs for a long time, observed party supremo, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, on Thursday.
Making it clear that his sole aim is to promote the BCs, Chandrababu Naidu said that he personally takes the responsibility of elevating the BCs to the extent that in every 100 leaders, at least 10 should be from the community. The TDP supremo is the chief guest at the ‘Jayaho BCs’ programme organised at the party headquarters here.
Addressing the meeting on this occasion, Chandrababu Naidu said that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is simply extorting the poor. Expressing serious concern that Mr Jagan has pushed the State into deep debts, he said the Chief Minister has raised Rs 13 lakh cr debts till now which is far more than the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP).
“Ultimately we have to repay these debts. Since BCs comprise 50 per cent of the population in the State, you have to bear Rs 6.5 lakh cr debt burden of the total of Rs 13 lakh cr,” Chandrababu Naidu explained. Admitting that he got recognition only with BC communities, Chandrababu Naidu said that he will never forget BCs in his life as the community stood solidly behind him when he was in trouble.
Maintaining that except four Reddys, even the Reddy community too did not prosper during the YSRCP regime, he said and stated that those who got progressed are Minister, Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, advisor to the government, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, MP, Vijayasai Reddy, and party senior leader, YV Subba Reddy.
Stating that Jagan is a master at uttering lies, Chandrababu Naidu felt that the companies owned only by the Chief Minister have progressed. Regretting that the prices of essential commodities are skyrocketing, Jagan, so shamelessly, revised the power charges. Chandrababu Naidu said that the countdown for Mr Jagan has begun and there is no chance of his coming back to power.
“I want the State to be rebuilt and the Telugu community should get the past glory. I will give the opportunity and it is your responsibility to grow as a leader,” Chandrababu Naidu told the BCs. The TDP supremo termed the ‘Jayaho BC’ as historic, he said that the massive gathering here should be prepared to rewrite the history. He said he is planning to build a society without poverty.
Chandrababu Naidu launched 50 campaign vehicles for the ‘Jayaho BC’ programme through which the BC leaders from the TDP will visit all the 175 Assembly segments to explain how the party has promoted the community and how Jagan has deceived them.
Why Jagan shifted sitting MLAs selectively, asks Naidu
It is very difficult to promote a person as a leader and once the person grows as a leader it is the duty of the parties concerned to see to it that this leader works for the welfare of the people, remarked TDP president and former chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu, on Thursday.
“I really feel proud that Yanamala Ramakrishnudu has been the politburo member of the TDP for the past 42 years while the late Kinjerapu Yerran Naidu, was the minister in the Union cabinet and this is how the TDP has helped the Backward Classes (BCs) to become as leaders,” said Chandrababu Naidu addressing a meeting of BCs got up at the party headquarters here on the occasion of launching of the ‘Jayaho BCs’ programme.
Chandrababu Naidu asked Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, as to why he has selectively changed the sitting MLAs, only BCs, while those belonging to the Reddy community are being allowed to be in the race again. This apart, after the YSRCP came to power BCs across the State are simply subjected to torture and at least 300 persons belonging to the community, including 74 persons from the TDP, have been mercilessly killed, he said.
Pointing out that one Nanda Subbaiah, who fought against the corrupt practices and atrocities of Proddatur MLA, Sivaprasada Reddy, was inhumanly done to death, Chandrababu Naidu asked as to why this MLA has not been replaced. Had this MLA belonged to a different community he too would have been shifted from there, the TDP supremo felt.
Assuring the gathering that the coming TDP government will certainly enact a law for the safety and security of BCs, he said that the 54 committees formed till now will study the financial condition of various BC communities. “Once the TDP is back in power in another 100 days more responsibility will be taken to come to their rescue,” he added.
Making a promise to repay the debts of the BCs, Mr Chandrababu said that forming a society without poverty is his sole intention. He said that the Telugu community are holding top positions in various organisations across the globe, the former chief minister said that this is because of the foundation laid by the TDP while in power.
“Work for 100 days for the party, for the State and for the BCs. The TDP will take the responsibility to promote all of you both politically and economically,” Chandrababu Naidu told the party leaders. Chandrababu Naidu launched the campaign vehicles for the ‘Jayaho BCs’ programme which will help the party leaders to reach the public to explain how the TDP has come to the rescue of BCs and how Jagan has taken them for a ride, the TDP supremo added.
