The Telugu Desam Party has given its official response on the decision to demolish Praja Vedika. Praja vedika TDP said that it is a vengeful decision and sheer political vendetta by CM Jaganmohan Reddy against their party and their leader. CM would have taken this decision since TDP requested for its allotment under the residence quota for Opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu.
If Jagan has taken decision already, then where is the need for calling all senior IAS officials and ministers there and hold a conference? The TDP asked how can the YCP government demolish such a useful structure which was built with public money. The reasons said by CM are not valid. Praja Vedika has been constructed after taking all the valid approvals from the agencies concerned, the TDP asserted.
Over Rs. 8 crore government money was spent on this modern hall. Huge conferences for over 500 to 1,000 people could be held in it. Fitted with air-conditioning and dais, the hall was used extensively by Chandrababu Naidu during his regime.
