The TDP Parliamentary Party Meeting has ended. The key meeting saw all the MPs from the TDP party in Amaravati. During the meeting, it is learned that Chandrababu Naidu has given some ‘key’ directives, and asked the MPs to be more active in taking the protests against the Centre to a new level.
Surprisingly, TDP MP Jayadev Galla spoke to the media after the meeting. ‘Andhra Pradesh did not receive anything under the ‘Special Package’ announced by the Centre. If required, we will knock the door of the apex court, for justice. Upon examining the amendments made to the Finance Bill, the next step will be taken.
The fight will continue until the issue is resolved. After the Centre failed to allocate adequate funds in the Fifth Budget, we confronted the Central Government about the same in the Parliament. If the Centre tries to calm us even this time, we will not entertain them. We have gone ahead sticking to the alliance-dharma.
The Centre stated that, after 2018 no states will be entitled to Special Status benefits. But Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh are enjoying them. We demand that even AP should be granted the special status benefits,’ said Jayadev Galla.
Meanwhile, Ram Mohan Naidu stated that ‘the Centre needs to come out with a conclusive statement about fulfilling the 19 commitments, mentioned in the AP Reorganization act, in a certain time’.
Overall, the TDP Parliamentary Party Meeting has brought in new energy, and a well-directed strategy among the TDP MPs.
