AP CM N. Chandrababu Naidu has accused the Modi-Shah duo of provoking KCR, Jagan and Pawan to target the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in AP with narrow political gains in mind. Naidu has said the BJP is having a grudge against the TDP as it has successfully contributed its best to ensure BJP’s defeat in the three northern states.
During his visit to Visakhapatnam district, Naidu addressed an Atmeeya Sadassu at Tagarapuvalasa when he said PM Modi is behind the dramas being played by TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao, AP Opposition leader Jaganmohan Reddy and Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan. The Modi-Shah duo are also very unhappy with the TDP as it has initiated successfully the process of bringing together all anti-BJP parties at the national level.
It may be recalled the BJP lost power in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh in the just concluded elections with the Congress scoring much needed gains ahead of 2019 elections.
Naidu launched his target against the BJP in the wake of criticism that the TDP’s alliance with the Congress proved ineffective in Telangana polls. Just like in Karnataka polls, the TDP’s campaign has had an impact on the results in the 3 northern states which has become a matter of jubilation for the TDP leaders. Naidu mocked at KCR’s gift comment, saying that it was the same KCR who has supported Special Category Status for AP once but now the TRS chief is hurting sentiments of AP people.
