A sort of revenge drama is enacted in the AP Assembly today. The ruling YCP didn’t give a chance for the TDP members to stage walk-out initially when there was heated debate on the non-fulfilment of Jagan’s promise on welfare pensions for persons above 45 years of age. Three TDP MLAs were suspended immediately for the entire session. This was seen as revenge taken by the YCP against TDP which caused suspensions of YCP MLAs in the previous regime. MLA Roja was seen enjoying the suspension drama a lot as she faced longer suspension in the last House.
Wasting no time, Opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu rose and demanded that the suspensions be withdrawn. The ruling party members said that any such decision would be taken by Jagan who was not present at that time. Immediately, Naidu along with his party members staged walk-out from the House.
All focus was on the happy Roja who kept shouting and mocking the TDP MLAs as the Marshalls led them out of the Assembly.
