Hyderabad: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is quick to move on its alternative plan after its Amalapuram MP P Ravindra Babu joined YSRCP. TDP has roped in son of former Lok Sabha Speaker later GMC Balayogi.
TDP is believed to have offered Amalapuram Lok Sabha ticket to Harish much earlier before Ravindra Babu decided to leave TDP. Ravindra Babu said that he was annoyed with the way TDP was promoting Harish and decided to leave TDP.
Meanwhile, YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy has offered Assembly ticket from Gannavaram. Another TDP MLA from East Godavari is also reportedly in touch with YS Jaganmohan Reddy. He’s insisting on ministry if YSRCP makes it to the power. Sources said that if the ruling party MLA from East Godavari joins YSRCP, then another leader from YS Jagan’s fold is ready to join TDP. The YSRCP leader is in regular touch with TDP and held few meetings also.
It may be recalled that recently Andhra Pradesh chief minister and TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu said that those who’re not performing and those who’re not confident of getting tickets are looking to YSRCP. TDP minister Nara Lokesh further clarified that party would give tickets only to winning candidates.
