Praja poru
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leadership in Telangana is getting ready to initiative mass awakening programme exposing the failures of ruling TRS government in the state. In the name of `Praja Poru’ (People’s Struggle), it has decided to organise public meetings in all the assembly constituencies, represented by ministers to expose the alleged failures and unfulfilled promises of K Chandrasekhar Rao’s government.
The first such `Praja Poru’ will be launched from Kollapur, the constituency of Panchayat Raj Minister Jupally Krishna Rao on February 13. Initially, the TDP has announced to hold the first public meeting in Gajwel, represented by Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao. However, the venue was changed due to various reason.
State Telugu Yuvatha president Tulla Veerender Goud said they will organise the second public meeting at Gajwel on February 15. It will be followed by a meeting at Nirmal, represented by endowments minister A Indrakaran Reddy, on Feb 20.
Meanwhile, Party general secretary D Anasuya alias Seethakka said the TDP delegation is undertaking `Delhi Yatra’ from February 6 to 8 to complain against the policies of the state government to various union ministers. According to her, the delegation would request the Centre not to allow the state government to scrap the zonal system.
The former MLA said that the delegation will submit a memorandum to Union home minister Rajnath Singh in this regard. After that, they will complain to ministers that how the state government has been diverting funds being released by them for specific programmes.
