TDP is facing severe protests from the people, given its failure to get the promises mentioned in the AP Reorganization Act 2014 fulfilled by the Centre. And the Chandrababu Naidu led AP Govt. (and the TDP party) is leaving no stone unturned to be in the good books of the Andhra Pradesh people.
In this context, the government took measures to divert water from the Handri-Neeva Project to various ponds and lakes nearby. AP Chief Whip and TDP leader Payyavula Keshav stated that ‘the government’s decision to divert water from the Handri-Neeva Project to ponds and lakes, which have been in dried up for years, is bringing the tears of joy in the farmers. This is the Ugadi gift the State Government is giving to the farmers of the district.’
Payyavula Keshav released water from the Handri-Neeva Project’s main canal towards the Ledhaaru Pond at Ragulapaadu near Vakraruru Mandal, Ananthapur district.
Speaking on the occasion, the AP Chief Whip Payyavula Keshav credited the success of the mission to AP CM Chandrababu Naidu. ‘Four villages are salable as a result of diverting the water to the Ledhaaru Pond. Similarly, measures have been taken to divert the water to other ponds nearby in the coming few days,’ said Payyavula Keshav.
