The exodus of leaders to TDP which started within 10 days after the declaration of 2014 elections results continues to haunt YSR Congress Party even today.
With the latest leader being Kurnool MP Butta Renuka following her suspension from YSRCP after reports of her defection surfaced. Her husband Butta Neelakantam join TDP in May2014 along with first turncoat SPY Reddy.
Renuka joined the TDP on Tuesday in the presence of party president and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. She said that she joined TDP for the development agenda.
Speaking on the occasion Renuka called onto the people seeking development to join TDP and said that Chandrababu is constantly working for the progress of the state. She described TDP’s nine-year rule as golden era. She will be officially joining TDP at a public meeting in Kurnool.
Chief Minister said that he is delighted that Renuka decided to support the government. He noted that there are people who want to support him but are being silenced.
