The TDP leaders want the party chief N Chandrababu Naidu to stay back on regular bail and not report to the Rajamahendravaram Central Prison on November 28 as directed by the AP high court. The party leaders are said to be sending messages to Chandrababu Naidu to stay back, get the regular bail given by the Supreme Court.
The cases of Naidu are in high court and supreme court. Top advocates like Siddhartha Luthra, Harish Salve are arguing in the courts for Naidu. There is a quash petition on the skill development case and anticipatory bail petition on fiber net case, both pending in the supreme court.
In high court, the bail petition in skill development case and anticipatory bail petition on Amaravati inner ring road alignment case are pending. They are to be heard later this month and Naidu is anticipating a favourable situation for him to avoid going back to jail.
The party leaders also want him to stay back at home so that they would go to the people. He could give instructions over phone to the leaders on the electioneering. This election is going to be very crucial for Chandrababu Naidu and his TDP.
The TDP is leaving no stone unturned to win the 2024 general election. It would be difficult for the party to survive if it loses power for another five years. The party was already in the opposition for ten years in 2004 and 2009. It will cost dearly for the party if it has to be in the opposition for another term.
Keeping all these in mind, the party leaders want Naidu to stay back at home and guide them over phone. They want Naidu to use the Supreme Court senior advocates at every level, including the ACB court in Vijayawada and get the bail.
It is to be seen what is in store for Naidu as the date November 28 is fast approaching.
