The results in five states have shown there is clear dissatisfaction of voters in all these states towards the BJP government at the Centre, says TDP National President and AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu. This is clear proof of the voters’ approval of the TDP’s country-wide campaign against the Modi government and more political parties are coming out openly to work against the Bharatiya Janata Party now than ever before, he says.
Naidu’s reaction comes amidst comments that the TDP’s alliance with the Congress has spoilt the chances for the Prajakutami allies in Telangana. He points out that the BJP has lost power in three states while it could not prevent regional parties from winning big time in two other states.
In some ways, Naidu’s policy is similar to Telangana CM-in-waiting K Chandrasekhara Rao who is also criticising the BJP leadership saying that the Modi government is respecting federal spirit of giving states their share of power. But the only difference between their policies is while Naidu is supporting a pro-Congress national level alliance, KCR is advocating a front of regional parties totally opposing the two national parties ie Congress and BJP.
While Naidu and Congress have named their alliance as People’s Front, which is likely to continue at the national level as well in the coming days, KCR has given the title of Federal Front to this proposed alliance.
