The YCP has made many last minute changes to its election strategy. This has attracted severe criticism from TDP especially on the issue of criminal cases against YCP candidates. Mr YS Sesha Sai Babu, Chairman, 20 Point Programme, AP, said that the TDP will complain to the President and the Governor on the criminal background and cases filed against the YCP candidates for both the Lok Sabha and assembly segments. It seems criminal record is the attractive eligibility for anybody to get the YCP ticket.
Mr Sesha Sai said that YCP Rajahmundry MP candidate Margani Bharath Ram has indicated the dowry harassment case that is registered against him and also the allegations of attempt to murder on his own close relative. It’s unthinkable that an MP candidate is accused of dowry harassment. TDP asks how such a leader will treat women if elected ever. Srikakulam YCP MP candidate Duvvada Srinivas is an accused in 4 murder cases and two PD cases.
