Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has escaped a close call during his tour to Adilabad district. After the CM got into the helicopter, smoke started to appear, briefly suffocating the pilot. Soon, the CM was escorted off the helicopter along with the pilots. Upon examining, the officials found out the smoke is coming from the Communication Kit Bag in the helicopter.
The kit bag was soon taken away to a faraway place form the helipad and was disposed-off. After a brief delay of about an hour, KCR’s trip to Murmur (in Adilabad district resumed).
Meanwhile, KTR tweeted about the latest development as soon as the news broke out. In his tweet, he said, ‘I contacted the respective authorities. They have assured me everything is fine. The CM’s tour will continue as per the scheduled’.
On reaching Murmur, CM KCR took part in a Foundation Stone laying ceremony for the Murmur Lift Irrigation Project. This irrigation project bring about 22,000 acres of land under harvesting. As a part of his tour, the CM also inspected the Mission Bhagiratha Water Treatment Plants in Adilabad.
