Telangana Congress filed a complaint with Police seeking action on BRS working president KT Rama Rao under SC/ST Atrocities Act. TPCC SC Cell chairman Nagarigari Preetham, Telangana State Mineral Development Corporation chairman Eravati Anil, Telangana Fisheries Corporation chairman Mettu Sai and others met Additional DGP Mahesh Bhagwath on Wednesday and lodged a complaint.

Telangana Congress leaders complained to police saying, BRS leader KTR guided demolition of wall at BR Ambedkar statue at Tank Bund near GHMC office, by sending his men. They also fired on KTR saying BRS leader is trying to create conflicts between castes in Telangana.

“BRS leaders have lost their minds after losing power. They are resorting to fake propaganda and trying to create unrest in Telangana. While GHMC is planning beautifucation works around BR Ambedkar statue at Tank Bund, BRS social media is spreading fake narratives on this noble initiative,” said Eravati Anil, speaking to media at Gandhi Bhavan on Wednesday.

“GHMC has planned to build a Parliament-like model around BR Ambedkar statue, signifying how Ambedkar’s Constitution is guiding Parliament. As part of the model, GHMC started construction. But BRS social media spread fake news that GHMC is building a wall around BR Ambedkar statue. This is done intentionally to create unrest in Telangana,” further said Eravati Anil, showing news reports and social media posts, corroborating his point.

Eravati Anil stressed that all this is done under the personal guidance of KTR. Incensed by BRS’s posts on the issue, TPCC team approached police.
