While the AICC has drawn up nation-wide agitation to expose Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s adventurous demonetization move, the Telangana Congress leaders are aggressively targeting Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, more than Modi.
Taking advantage from Chief Minister’s all the out support to the move, Congress leaders believing its as a golden opportunity to go to the people against TRS government’s two and half year’s regime. They are questioning Chief Minister why he should be so enthusiastic in supporting this move.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has accused that supporting the note ban has shattered Telangana’s financial position. Protesting against the move, last evening former minister Danam Nagender organised a huge rally from Charminar to Gandhi Bhavan.
Speaking on this occasion Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the note ban proved to be a surgical strike on small and medium businesses, traders and common man. He said no section of the society was spared and demonetisation has crippled everyone.
Reddy accused KCR of mortgaging the interest of Telangana by extending his support to Narendra Modi’s note ban move. Quoting the speech of SC Welfare Minister Jagadish Reddy in Assembly, he said that the State Government was blaming demonetisation for delay in clearance of Fee Reimbursement dues which would directly impact nearly 20 lakh families, including 14 lakh students.
Similarly, he said that the TRS Government is also blaming demonetisation for not clearing the crop loan waiver dues. He feared that all developmental activities would come to a halt under the impact of note ban. He demanded that the Chief Minister come up with complete details of impact of demonetisation on Telangana State.
