From September 8 to September 15, T-chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s office will operate from People’s Republic of China. The entire CMO is accompanying chief minister Rao in his China trip. Rao is going to attend two programs in China, according to sources: 1. World Economic Forum, 2. Conference of chief ministers and mayors from India and China. He will also visit many other places in China and show case the investment opportunities in Telangana state.
The CM is leading a 16-member delegation of officials and ministers which include include KT Rama Rao (IT and panchayat raj minister), Jupally Krishna Rao(Industries minister).
For the trip the state government has hired a super-luxury CRJ 100 aircraft at a cost of Rs 2.03 crore. State finance department on Tuesday released the amount for advance payment to the company AR Airways Private Limited for blocking the Aircraft CRJ 100 (Reg.No. VT ARE).
according to the company, CRJ is a Canadian make 50-seater aircraft customized to seat 17+1 passengers with plush interiors, leather seats, sofas and a customized entertainment centre. “This is the only top-of the line business jet model launched in India. The twin engine business jet comes equipped with satellite phones, DVD, Mood Lighting and LCD Screens. The most prominent aspect of the CRJ is the space it offers. The luxury seats can rotate 180 degree, enabling guests to hold meetings and dine with one another, in luxurious surrounding,” the company website says.
Apart from the flight-hiring charges, the state government will also foot the bill for the hotel stay and other incidental expenditures of the team member which easily run into another crore.
This booking of luxury jet for the CM trip happened exactly two days later the chief minister wrote a letter to the centre urging the relaxation of borrowing norm from 3 per cent to 3.5 per cent as state needs huge money for development works.
Of late it has become habit for Telugu chief ministers to travel in chartered flights in their foreign trips to seek investments in their states. On the other side, these states are struggling to impression upon the centre that their economies took a beating after bifurcation and badly in need of central assistance.
The officials who are accompanying the CM the CMO include to S Narsing Rao (Prl. Secretary to CM),A Santi Kumari (Addl. Principal Secretary to CM), B Shivadhar Reddy (IG, Intelligence),Arvind Kumar( Secretary, Industries & Commerce)Jayesh Ranjan(Secretary IT,E&C), Smitha Sabharwal (addl. Secretary to CM), P Rajasekhar Reddy (Spl. Secretary to CM). Also accompanying the CM are Mahesh M. Bhagawat( Inspector General,Security) and EV Narasimha Reddy, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation.
Chief Minister KCR is leading this delegation to t People’s Republic of China to attend the World Economic Forum at Dalian and other places in China for showcasing the Investment opportunities in the State of Telangana.
