Telangana journalists question TRS government on the promise of allotting land to journalists. Journalists questioned minister Koppula at Jagithyala district on this. Details as below.
TRS, as part of election campaign, promised lands for housing for journalists. However, even after 6 months of forming government, it did not even consider the election promise. But KCR recently announced the decision of granting lands to party offices at very cheap price of 100 rupees per acre. This decision irked the journalists and they questioned the government that how could it find the lands so easy for party offices but it doesn’t find any lands to provide to journalists as promised before elections.
TRS government has been facing huge anti incumbency from many sections of people at the moment. It was surprising to see such huge anti-wave just 6 months after TRS winning the elections with thumping majority. We will have to wait and see whether TS government will take decision on allotting lands to journalists.
