Causing embarrassing situation to the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, a case was booked against Telangana minister T. Padma Rao Goud’s son for assaulting and threatening a local footpath vendor in Secunderabad. The Minister Padma Rao is Padmarao Nagar MLA in Secunderabad.
One Mohit Rathore, a businessman at Pot Market in Secunderabad lodged a complaint with Market police, alleging that while GHMC and other department officials were carrying out a special encroachment drive near his shop, the minister’s son T. Rameshwar Goud came along with his friends and allegedly beat him and his other family members, adding, stones were also thrown on his shop by the group.
The complainant further alleged that the group used vulgar language and Rameshwar threatened him on how he will continue to do business in the locality. One of Rameshwar’s group allegedly threw stones at Mohit’s shop and threatened to kill him and his family, said police quoting the complaint.
Based on the complaint, a case has been registered against Rameshwar Goud and associates under Sections 341 (wrongful restraint), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) and an investigation has begun, Market inspector M Mattaiah said.
