The Telangana state police have booked a case against TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday. The case was booked following Naidu taking out a rally in Hyderabad on Wednesday from Begumpet to Jubilee Hills.
The TDP ranks received Chandrababu Naidu at Begumpet airport and accompanied him in a huge rally on his arrival after release from the jail. Naidu was arrested in the skill development scam and was sent to judicial remand to Rajamahendravaram central jail. He was released on bail on health grounds on October 30.
When he reached Hyderabad for the first time after release from the jail, the TDP workers and others gave a grand reception to Naidu in Hyderabad.
The Begumpet police have registered a case of violation of code of conduct in the elections. The case was registered as crime number 531/2023. The police booked cases section IPC 341, 290, 21 read with 76.
The Begumpet sub-inspector Jayachandar lodged a complaint with the police following which the police have registered the case.
The police said that the rally organised by the TDP leader had caused severe inconvenience to the people in Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, Chandrababu Naidu was admitted into the AIG hospital after a formal health check up. He would be there for two days, sources say. Later, he would undergo cataract surgery at the L V Prasad Eye Institute.
